As of December 2017, Google has reported over 3.5 million apps available on the Google Play Store. This huge selection of apps, many of which are free and fully compatible with your Insane Audio unit, gives you all kinds of creative power to transform your Jeep in really fun ways. Here’s an idea, how about hosting a game night and transforming your Jeep into a casino on wheels?
Don’t worry about getting dressed up (but maybe loose the sweat pants and crocs if you’re trying to impress a date). Just hop in your Jeep, open the Play Store app, download a couple of your casino favorites, and let the games begin! With thousands of games to choose from, we’ve made it easy for you by hand-picking a few of the best ones out there based on engaging gameplay, high quality graphics, and of course the chance to “win big.”
It’s worth noting that there are both online and offline games available from the play store. Both require an internet connection to download, however offline games don’t require an internet connection to play. Once you have an offline game, you can play it anytime, no internet required. Online games on the other hand, require an internet connection to play, which does enables cool features like playing with your friends or other gamers all over the world.
Slot Machine Games
By far the most popular type of casino game on the Play Store are the slots. These casino staples usually have a fun theme and loose storyline to keep things interesting. The best ones take you on a journey through different levels or venues that are unlocked as you progress through the game. Here are a couple of our favorites:
Lil Wayne Slots
That’s right, Weezy has his very own themed slots game on the Play Store, filled with enough bubbly, babes, and bling, to make you feel like a straight up G! Lil Wanye Slots offers ten different venues across the US (including “The Dirty South” of course) various achievements to unlock, bet adjustment, auto-spin, multiplier side games, and generous “cash” bonuses that pop-up the first few times you run out of funds to keep the fun going.
Some other nice features of this game include: offline game play, a pay table that explains exactly what’s going on with potential winning combinations, a straightforward, helpful FAQ, as well as the ability to connect to Google Play Games and Facebook to brag about your Lil Wayne, "Big Winner" status.
Nat Geo Wild Slots
Did you know American white pelicans have a 9-foot wing span? Or that snow leopards have powerful legs that allow them leap up to 50 feet? Gambling is not traditionally viewed as an educational endeavor, but it can be now, thanks to National Geographic’s Nat Geo Wild slots.
Sprinkled with fun wildlife facts, this slot game takes you on a journey through over 10 different venues, beginning with the aquatic themed “Great Reef.” Nat Geo Wild Slots offers lots of opportunities to earn free credits with all kinds of “missions.” This game also rewards you with a 1,000,000 credit bonus for connecting your Facebook account, which in turn, allows you to play with friends. With stunning graphics, simple but engaging gameplay and a subtle educational element, this slot machine game definitely stood out from the pack.
Another cool aspect of this game is that if you do decide to buy credits, the proceeds from this game are used to fund the National Geographic Society’s critical projects around the globe. The only downside is this game is it does not support offline play.
Classic Slots – Slot Machines!
If Lil Wayne and Nat Geo aren’t your thing, not to worry, there are plenty of ultra-classic slot machine games to choose from on the Play Store. With “BAR”s, cherries, diamonds, lucky “7”s, and classic slot styling, “Classic Slots – Slot Machines” from Phonato Games lives up to the name. Choose from a variety of classic machines and unlock more as you go. And just like real old-school slot machines, no internet required. That’s right, this one’s offline. So anytime you’re feeling lucky, open Classic Slots and spin away!
If table games are more your style, no worries, the Play Store provides. Test your lucky number/color combos and enjoy the social dynamics of roulette with the hugely popular, Roulette Royal from Mywavia Studios. Join a live multiplayer table or even the world-wide tournament challenge with thousands of other players. Of course, playing live requires an internet connection, but the game works offline too. New to the roulette table? Not to worry! Roulette royal offers built-in step-by-step tutorial to get you placing bets with confidence in no time.
The gameplay and interface are much more natural and intuitive with Roulette Royal than with other roulette games available on the Play Store. You can even track your personal session stats and shop to buy virtual items… yes, if you win big at this roulette table you could be the new owner of a 25-million-dollar virtual yacht. Although we didn’t find the ads to intrusive, you do have the option to spend a $4.99 to permanently remove them from the game.
Craps - Casino Style
With over 100,000 downloads “Craps – Casino Style” claims the number one spot on the Play Store for craps. So put on your lucky shoes and get rolling! This craps game has a simple interface, an authentic casino-style table, and works on or offline.
While the Play Store description claims this game will help you learn how to play craps, it lacks the step-by-step tutorial we found so helpful in Roulette Royal. That being said, if you are already familiar with the game of craps, you and your friends are going to love this addictive addition to casino night. Make sure you have the volume up if you want to hear the app’s casino music and realistic stickman calls, or disable the app sound in the easily accessible settings menu and choose your own casino soundtrack! May we recommend the Oceans 11 soundtrack?
The makers of the hit social media game, Farmville, have taken their knack for immersive (read: addictive) social gaming to the casino world with Zynga Poker. Of course there’s an option to connect your Facebook account and a $60k incentive to do so. With an average of 90k users online, you should have no problem finding a table full of fine folks to test your poker skills against.
You can choose to play in guest mode, or sign up for a Zynga poker account if you decide you want to preserve your chips or play across devices. Due to its social nature, Zynga poker doesn’t support offline play. The gameplay is really quite engaging with dealer animations and a 10 second visual countdown timer that follows the play flow around the table. Cute options that parallel real-world interactions like tipping the dealer and gifting chips add to the whole experience. And, like any good casino style app, as I’ve learned, there are side games and challenges to keep things interesting and help you re-up your credits.
AbZorba Live Blackjack 21
To round out the night, take a seat at the blackjack table with Blackjack 21 from AbZorba games. This one might come off a bit busy on the initial menu screen due to some poorly placed advertising, but things clean up with some really slick graphics once you get into the game.
Collect your daily bonus to get things started and choose between joining an international tournament or just playing a quick round. The gameplay is similar to Zynga Poker with dealing animations and a play timer, but the timer is set to 20 seconds instead of 10, so things feel a bit slower if the players at your table are taking their time. You also have the option to connect with Facebook to play and chat with friends. One cute option built into this game is the ability to buy drinks for other players at your table. If you decide to do this, a little drink icon appears by that player’s avatar. Cute guys, real cute.
Real Money Jackpots?
Now you may be wondering, can I win real money from these Play Store casino games? Unless you live in the UK, Ireland, or France the answer at this point is unfortunately, no. All of the games reviewed here are free to download and play. They all also offer “in-app purchases” meaning the opportunity to spend real money to buy game credits, pay to remove ads, or unlock new levels. However, none of them currently offer actual cash payouts due to Google’s current Play Store ban on true gambling apps in the US. This doesn’t mean these games aren’t a blast to play and some of them quite addictive, it just means you’re playing for kicks and giggles, not for cash. Look on the bright side, this means your wallet and your pink slip are safe at this casino night. Have fun and feel free to comment with any of your casino favorites from the Play Store!
